Lesson Info
My aim is to help students discover their potential through music by teaching private piano lessons, which are available in the comfort of the student's own home, or online through video chat! Weekly lessons are 30, 45, or 60 minutes in length and are dependent on the student's age and experience level. I teach adults and children 6 years and older, of all experience levels, beginner through advanced and in many styles.
Whether you want to learn classical or pop, either as just a hobby, or to do professionally in the future, my lessons are tailored to your musical interests!
With all beginning students, the main focus will be on learning how to read sheet music from the staff. This provides a visual understanding of notation, rhythm, tempo and other musical concepts. With intermediate/advanced students, lesson plans may be adjusted to suit the individual student's musical desires and goals. All students will also have practice in sight-reading, ear-training, theory, and improvisation.
All students will have the opportunity to perform in free recitals, held at the Steinway Piano Gallery in Charlotte. Recitals are a great way for students to become better at performing, show their family and friends the music that they've been working hard on, and meet other piano students!
